The first day of 2009

Spent the first day of the year running from here to there, well had some bank errand so had to rush to defence colony, and as it is with almost all nationalised banks, the trip would have to be made multiple times to get the work done....anyway post that I headed to the animal welfare organisation Frendicoes operating under def col flyover with about hundred animals mostly canines . when my Tuffy had passed away I had thought of making some regular donations to aimal charities but had made none till date and what better day to rectify the same than New Year's . I saw around twenty dogs of various breeds and sizes some of them playing, some idling and some fighting the killer chill of delhi. I learned that a day's feeding cost for all the animals cost them about 8 and a half grand. Well, after donating my humble note of 500 rupees, I was petting a cute pom when suddenly this Great Dane came jutting his head against my jacket and i noticed there was a problem with his right eye but he was surely the most affectionate of them all and I took an instant liking to him and there I made my first new fren of 2009 and he is lovingly called Tough by all . AND this was just the beginning of the new year, not bad Rish! The day was later spent in visiting the Sai Baba temple at Siri Fort and shopping at GK 1 Mkt.
Hope chotu likes the cute doggie jacket i got for her from frendicoes, coz shez kind of elitist in most of her choices whether food, petting or doggie clothes but poor me i love to dote on her anyway.
The day ended on an active note with excessively focussed gyming followed by an exhaustive jog at the Siri Fort track, aiming to lose about five kgs in the first quarter. superb bout of enthusiasm on the track as i was running to khalbali from RDB by AR Rahman.
let's see what the year has in store for me, hoping for all of the above and lots more. Ciao......
